La Belleza del Evangelio

¿Te acuerdas de aquel atardecer que viste hace algunos días que te dejo horas pensando? O ¿aquel cuadro de aquella vieja fotografía que te gusto? ¿Te acuerdas de aquello que llamo tu atención por horas? ¿Te acuerdas de la encantadora sonrisa del muchacho/a que te gusta? ¿Qué es aquello que te parece bello? Vivimos en un mundo donde constantemente se le olvida mirar la belleza de la simpleza, olvidamos vernos a los ojos, sonreír, abrazar y amar. Claro que no olvidamos otras cosas como pasar horas en el teléfono viendo memes y compartiendo tiktoks.
La belleza según Platón radica en el bien y la ética, para otros pensadores como Aristóteles es eso que nos agrada, que es valioso en su misma esencia. Tomando en cuenta estos conceptos podemos definir que la belleza trata de aquello que es: puro, perfecto, correcto, hace el bien, busca la verdad, es sencillo, es claro y no hay mal en ella. Y si es precisamente de lo que trata el evangelio, encontramos toda la belleza del mundo en Jesús de Nazareth y su buena noticia. Hace unos años escuché decir a Junior Zapata lo siguiente: “La belleza salvará al mundo”, y creo que es una afirmación llena de osadía que nos lleva a pensar únicamente en el evangelio y como este nos ha salvado de estas crisis cotidianas que nos presenta la vida.
El evangelio está lleno de belleza, la cual nos invita a ver a Jesús como un referente de vida, un Dios todopoderoso que nos busca y ama “sin que nosotros tengamos algo para amar” como lo pensaba San Agustín de Hipona. En medio de un mundo de crisis, de dolor, de sistemas diabólicos que perturban la paz, la belleza de la buena noticia está aquí entre nosotros y con nosotros.
Pensando sobre este escrito reflexiono en lo sucedido en Asbury University, la cual está viviendo un tiempo de plena comunión con el Espíritu Santo en una reunión que lleva más de una semana sin parar de orar y adorar a Dios, algunos pensadores están hablando de un avivamiento quizás el primero de la era digital, para mí, unida a la idea de este blog, hago énfasis en que esto es solo una pequeña demostración de lo dotado de hermosura que es este evangelio tan lleno de Cristo y su Espíritu Santo y que anhelamos vivir siempre.
